My experience is that the word “taint” can be disruptive at the table. I ran a campaign where I made sure to mention the “taint of evil” at least once per session, because I knew it would provoke juvenile humor. It was fun in that context, but I don’t know if I’d want people giggling every time I mentioned the thematic struggle of my campaign. YMMV etc.
